Undergraduate profile: Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz
Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz, an affiliate of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, is the youngest medical university in Poland and offers a wide variety of programs provided by three faculties: medicine, pharmacy and health sciences.
We are also the smallest school of its type in the country, which constitutes our major advantage – our philosophy rests on an individual-focused approach to teaching and a constant development of the student-teacher partnership.
We offer fifteen medical programs, including four taught entirely in English – medicine, nursing, physiotherapy and laboratory medicine. Medical specialists are undoubtedly in constant demand all over the world, so there are many career paths open to our graduates. With this in mind, we have developed medical programs that comprehensively prepare our students for professional practice.

What can you expect from a course?
Courses are taught by professional researchers and highly skilled practitioners working in various areas of medicine. The relatively small number of students combined with the broad access to hospitals and clinics gives our students a unique opportunity to make the most of their work placements. There are two university hospitals in Bydgoszcz affiliated with our university, functioning as the base for education, science, research and specialised medical, diagnostic and rehabilitation services. We also collaborate with many other specialty clinics and health care centres in Bydgoszcz.
The university has attracted many leaders in the field of medicine

What students think
"The teaching facilities here are great. We have classroom-based education, so we have a close teacher-student relationship and we can really get to know our teachers well. This alone enhances our learning. I would highly recommend studying here."

Alba from Spain
"Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz is a great place to study. One of the reasons is because it’s a small university and it’s a new university, so therefore you have smaller groups and more teachers for fewer people."
Martinius from Norway
"The reason why I chose this school is because of recommendations from friends. I think that Bydgoszcz is a very cosy city, especially during the summer. There are a lot of things to do and there are many nice restaurants."
