• enhance your confidence in your abilities so you can do things you never thought possible
• develop your expertise so you’re the first person people turn to for the latest knowledge and expert
• give you the opportunity to not just be part of something, but to lead the way.
Postgraduate qualifications are held by only 11% of the population*. Being a postgraduate will give you an edge that is recognised by employers. By completing a PhD and becoming a doctor, you will be recognised as having achieved the highest academic qualification in your subject area.
On average, postgraduates earn an additional £5,500 per year than those without a postgraduate qualification*.
Career Progression and Personal Development
Employers in any industry are more likely to reward those who have demonstrated commitment to become experts in their field. In many industries, such as law, teaching, human resources, marketing and engineering, a postgraduate qualification can be essential for career progression. Many of our postgraduate qualifications are certified by professional bodies in specific industries.
A postgraduate qualification could enable you to change the direction of your career; for example, studying education, health or law could lead to brand new employment opportunities.

Here from past Postgraduate student — Judith Fustero MBA, now Strategy Manager at Mann + Hummel and recipient of the CMI Crystal Bowl Award:
'I had always wanted to study for an MBA and decided to study at Wolverhampton after a recommendation from some friends. The University allowed me to study part-time which was crucial in giving me the flexibility to fit my studies around my job.
'I loved the fact that many of my lecturers had years of experience in the world of business, as that helped me to turn theoretical knowledge into practical outcomes in my job. In fact, some of the recommendations in my thesis were implemented globally by my employer.
'After two years of work, I graduated with Distinction and I won the Chartered Management Institute Crystal Bowl Award for the best MBA in 2014. Now I have been promoted to the position strategy manager — the scope of the role described exactly the job that I aimed to get after completing the MBA. I believe that I am proof of what can be achieved with hard work. If you are thinking about enrolling with the University of Wolverhampton, get on the website and do it now!'
