Teach, Travel, TEFL
Do you enjoy working with people? Do you have a deep love of language and culture? Are you interested in a job that is both fulfilling and interesting? Consider a career in teaching English as a foreign language!
What is TEFL?
Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) is a great opportunity to hone your skills as an effective communicator and combine them with your love of language and culture. TEFL is in demand worldwide and thus gives you the added bonus of endless travel opportunities while earning money and gaining valuable experience. As a career path for graduates, you may begin as a teacher, but there are endless outlets in the education, corporate, and publishing sectors. At TEFL-in-Spain & Italy, you have the option to choose from two great locations to get started with a world-class English teaching certification.
A little bit about us: we are an English teacher training school accredited by Trinity College in London. Our team is made up of professional and experienced course tutors and support staff who will get you ready to enter a classroom with confidence, even if you have never done it before. We offer assistance before, during, and after your course. We’ll help you find accommodation for your stay, and we also have a comprehensive careers service.
Our courses are 4-weeks of intensive input sessions and teaching practice. You’ll learn key skills such as classroom management, methods for teaching grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation, as well as lesson planning and execution. When you graduate, you will be awarded the Trinity CertTESOL (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). This certification is equivalent to a level 5 on the Qualifications and Credentials Framework and is recognized by the British Council. This will become your passport for job opportunities in the UK and around the world.
TEFL-in-Spain & Italy have schools in Malaga and Rome. We didn’t only choose these locations because they are attractive and culturally interesting. When compared to other European countries, both Spain and Italy have low levels of English combined with high demand. By being strategically placed in these beautiful, opportunity-rich locations, you’ll have the added advantage of being familiar with the culture, customs, and the communication difficulties they face.
One of the most important reasons for getting TESOL certified is finding a job. That is why we developed our careers service, which will develop a foundation for your success in the TEFL job market. We will help you with essential documents for employment including residency permits. During the course, we have sessions specifically tailored for job skills like CV writing and interview preparation. We also inform our trainees of exclusive job offers. However, the most crucial component of finding a job is experience, which is why we put a lot of effort into making sure that the teaching practice you do with us is authentic. You will teach real students of English at various levels. Your classes will be observed and then constructively analyzed so that you are constantly improving your skills. You’ll also have the unique advantage of being in close contact with real teachers at our language schools where you can observe lessons and ask experienced professionals for insight and advice. In the end, our goal is your success.
If you are a recent (or even not so recent!) graduate looking for a rewarding career path with exciting possibilities, TEFL in Spain & Italy will provide you with the training you need.
“This course is really useful to get the methodology needed and deliver a class properly. I would totally recommend this course for those people who want to become teachers! –Liou, China, 24 (TEFL-in-Spain)
“I learned so much! One of my favourite parts of the program was the collaborative environment. The peer-observation and evaluations were invaluably helpful; even though I currently work as an English teacher with my own classes, I sometimes wish my fellow trainees from the program could come to my lessons and give me some more feedback. – Pamela, USA, 28 (TEFL-in-Italy)
