New Year, new career? Train to teach with Yorkshire Three Counties Alliance

Are you passionate about working with young people? Love learning and want to support young people in the local community to do the same? Then training to teach with the Yorkshire Three Counties Alliance SCITT in September 2016 could be for you.

Everyone remembers their best teacher and what better way to have an impact on the community and to build an excellent career than becoming a teacher in Yorkshire? Young people across the Yorkshire Counties deserve the very best that education has to offer and you could be just the ticket to ensuring that they have access to the best teachers out there.

The Yorkshire Three Counties Alliance SCITT is the perfect place to train to teach. Working in partnership with a wide range of schools across Yorkshire, your training with us will comprise practice-based learning in at least three different school contexts, work towards a university-awarded Post-Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and training led by local and national experts in education and learning. During your time in school, you will work with some of the most talented teachers in our counties, learning from their mentoring and skills in a ‘hands on’ but highly supported way. Blending theory and practice in a school-centred and school-led setting is at the core of our programme which focuses on gaining the best outcomes for our trainee teachers and their students alike.

Whether you’re about to graduate or you’re making your career move into teaching, the YTCA SCITT is structured to provide you with a personalised support network and the highest quality teacher training. Working with young people from the local communities, you could be learning to teach whilst enabling students to develop passion for and skills in your subject area from September 2016. You could be learning from and with the best that Yorkshire schools have to offer: our students.

Those who can, teach – be one of them.
