Postgraduate Studies at Liverpool Hope University

Liverpool Hope is a modern university underpinned by 175 years’ experience in delivering high-quality teaching. We believe in putting students at the centre of everything we do to ensure you have the support and guidance necessary to achieve your potential.

Why Liverpool Hope?

We offer a diverse catalogue of postgraduate courses that seek to add value to first degrees by developing graduate knowledge and skills in specific areas. Each of our postgraduate courses encourages you to draw on your own experience and helps prepare you to enter the world of work with a competitive edge.

With many of our postgraduate courses available for study starting in September or January, and on a full or part-time basis, you can plan your studies around other work/life commitments.

Liverpool Hope was awarded gold in the 2017 Teaching Excellence Framework, which recognises our excellent standards in student learning and teaching. These high standards are also reflected in the high percentage of our research being world-leading or of international recognition (Research Excellence Framework 2014).

Our facilities

In order to put students first, we not only invest in academic excellence and quality but also our campuses and facilities.

We have two main teaching campuses; Hope Park, which is situated in the leafy suburb of Childwall with places to live, work, study, eat and relax between classes, and the Creative Campus, which is home to our creative and performing arts degrees.

Based in the city centre of Liverpool and just a stone’s throw from the up-and-coming ‘fabric district’, the Creative Campus is a hive of creative activity, with teaching, living and social spaces and an on-site theatre. Make sure you take a look at our Virtual Tour to see more of our campuses or you can book a campus tour.

Our investment doesn’t stop there, we also offer extensive pastoral care and support to help you along your journey. Our Student Support and Wellbeing team provide an integrated one-stop shop for pastoral support services, meaning you don’t get passed around between departments.

All of our staff work hard to make sure you have the best possible time while you study with us and our hard work shows in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019, which has ranked us 1st in the North West for student experience.

Why choose Liverpool?

Deciding to undertake a postgraduate course can be a big decision and like your undergraduate studies, it’s not just about the course, it’s about the experience and the location. We are incredibly lucky to be based in one of Europe’s most vibrant cities. With its world-famous architecture and magnificent museums to the music legends revolutionising popular culture, Liverpool is hailed as a ‘hub of creativity’ and one of Britain’s best travel destinations (The Telegraph, 2018).

Liverpool Hope is very fortunate to have strong links with many of the city’s museums, galleries and local organisations, meaning that our students have access to a wide variety of professional and industry expertise to draw from during their studies and beyond.
