The Czech Republic, located in the heart of central Europe, contains amazing scenic and historic landscapes with many outstanding high-mountain nature parks with trails for hiking and biking. There are many UNESCO World Heritage Sites available for you to explore including the breathtaking city of Prague, the Hearth of Europe.

The beautiful city of Prague, the perfect place to study

We are one of the leading Faculties dealing with environmental protection in the EU. CULS is a member of the Euro League for Life Sciences Schools Consortium (ELLS), a network of leading universities cooperating in the fields of natural resources management, agricultural and forestry sciences, veterinary sciences, food sciences, and environmental sciences. There are many opportunities for Erasmus study abroad for one or more semesters.

Field trips are an essential part of your learning experience at CULS

There are five Master’s programs offered in English  in the Faculty (College) of Environmental Sciences.  Each requires two years (four semesters) to complete; all are fully accredited; all involve applied field-learning using the Czech landscape as the “canvas.”

Landscape Planning (LPA

LPA blends elements of landscape architecture, applied landscape ecology, planning, landscape history and natural sciences.

Land and Water Management (LWM)

LWM combines sustainable social, environmental, and technical dimensions of water resources and land features.

Environmental Modeling (ENVA)

ENVA is for students who wish to specialize in environmental processes emphasizing modeling and mathematics.

Environmental Geosciences (EGS)

EGS combines applied ecology, geology or similar fields, providing a theoretical and practical background in earth sciences.

Nature Conservation (NCO)

The Faculty of Environmental Sciences currently has approximately 160 international students coming from North and South America, the Caribbean, Africa, the greater EU, China, South-East Asia and Eastern Europe.  The Faculty has approximately 3,500 graduate, undergraduate and Ph.D. students; there are approximately 100 professors housed in a new building.

You will study in the state of the art facilities at CULS

Tuition is approximately 200 Euro per year.  This low fee is made possible by high subsidies from the Czech government, which is a significant advantage for students from other countries where they would typically incur significant debt for graduate studies.

Students from around the world choose to study at CULS
