Corporate Social Responsibility
At British American Group we take pride in what we do and we want to ensure that we act in a responsible way. The British American Media Corporate Responsibility Team (CSR) has been set up to look at British American’s social & ethical responsibilities.
Here are some of the key ways that we try to have a positive impact on society and provide our stakeholders (eg, customers, employees, investors, peers, channel members, regulators and the host community) with peace of mind in all that we do
We always look at ways that we can help the local community, especially increasing youth employment prospects.
Our Editor-in-Chief, Luke Martin, was one of the keynote speakers at the University of Birmingham Careers Network Creative Careers Conference 2015.
Responsible business practices
We ensure that responsible business practices are adhered to at all times throughout the company. This is enforced through our Code of Ethics and assess the impacts that our company has on the environment and how we can improve this.
We also support three chosen charities every year.
British American CSR currently supports a local charity:
Birmingham Children’s Hospital - As the registered charity for Birmingham Children’s Hospital we exist to make things better for the children, their families and the staff who treat them. We provide funding for important equipment, pioneering research and all the important extras that make our hospital so special
The Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity raises funds for those projects and services which fall outside the remit of the NHS. Thanks to the generous support of our fundraisers the hospital can provide a level of patient care beyond what NHS funding alone can deliver. Together we can make projects happen sooner and to a greater degree than might otherwise have been possible.
