Are you interested in becoming a teacher with Teamworks?
Our team at Teamworks are outstanding, committed and experienced ITT educators. We run a bespoke programme with highly personalised support for each of our trainee teachers, based in West Yorkshire. As a SCITT, we have the same recommending powers as a University but our programme provides local, entirely school-based training on both primary and secondary courses, with QTS and a PGCE at the end.
Who are we?
AA Teamworks West Yorkshire SCITT is a partnership made up of 27 primary schools and 12 secondary schools in Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Bradford. A key strength of our partnership is the diversity of schools - our partners encompass the geographical, social and economic diversity of West Yorkshire giving our alliance breadth and depth. We provide a rich and varied training experience in at least two contrasting schools, and the opportunity to work with a range of children and staff; this ensures that you are trained to teach in all schools from the very start of your career.
Our ITT training programme ensures that you experience a high quality, rigorous and supportive education almost entirely based in schools, supplemented with a PGCE from The University of Huddersfield. The training days for the programme are once a week, spread across the academic year, in order to best support the practical learning approach, and are taught by a specialist team of staff including; outstanding classroom practitioners, school leaders, SENCos, examiners and Specialist Leaders of Education. Our highly committed and enthusiastic team also provide top quality mentoring throughout the programme.
