Why did you apply for an internship at VERA Academy?
I think that VERA Academy is an amazing opportunity for students to see the academic world from the inside. I worked together with highly qualified researchers and I improved my research skills, especially thanks to the close collaboration with the professor in charge of my project. Further, I developed skills that helped me to better manage time and deadlines, making sure that the high-quality standards required were always met.
Would you recommend this experience to other students?
I highly recommend this internship program to those students who would like to continue their university studies with a PhD program. In fact, besides providing the opportunity to apply what I learned during my master’s studies, it also offered a first glimpse on research and how researchers develop and manage their projects.
What are your plans for the near future?
After this training experience, I decided to pursue an academic career and my plan now is to apply for a PhD Program in Economics.

Besides, students learn through different methods, especially through practical activities and projects that the Department of Economics provides during the courses and which allow students to experience situations similar to the real working environment.
How would you describe your experience as a Finance student?
My experience as a student at the Department of Economics was extremely positive. The time I spent at the university was highly intellectually satisfying, yet very demanding as I needed to work under tight deadlines and I had to confront challenging topics. Nevertheless, university studies are just the first step in professional life but I am sure that the years I spent at Ca’ Foscari allowed me to develop both professional and intellectual skills that now I deploy on a daily basis in my work in finance.
